Yorkshire Pudding Ride

Elmsall RC had riders out in abundance on Sunday for a charity ride in aid of MacMillan cancer research. Named the Yorkshire Pudding ride the riders covered a 34 miles route from Knottingley via Brotherton, Birkin, Carleton Towers, Snaith, Sykehouse, Askern and back through Wentbridge to finish with a hog roast and Yorkshire pudding meal.


Over £5300 was raised with over 80 cyclists putting their club kit Lycra on to aid MacMillan, an organisation who have helped one of our members wife’s recovery.


Saturday had riders cover 100 miles to Otley and back covering over 7000ft of climbing.


Intermediate ride had 4 riders cover around 60 miles.


John Martin recorded 23:42 in the Rutland CC 10 mile tt at Hatfield on Saturday afternoon.
