The racing season gets off to a flying start.

With the racing season underway a few riders have been hitting the tarmac and have produced some good early season times.




John Martin recorded 57:10 & Steve Scott 59:37 in the East Midlands and Notts 25 mile TT.

Karl Caton 22:56, Steve Scott 24:37 & Pete Stirk 28:45 in the Mapperley CC 10 TT at Gunthorpe Bridge on the A46.

Karl Caton finished 4th at the Pollington TT with a time of 18:35. Pete Stirk recorded a time of 24:00.

Steve Scott rode to 3rd place in the Birdwell Wheelers 5 mile TT on Park Springs with a time of 12:23.

Pete Stirk rode the Calder Clarion 10 TT in a time of 31:41 in windy conditions.


Andy Jones covered 107 miles in a sportive event on Sunday 27 May climbing over 10000ft.


Club members enjoyed rides to Thorp Arch on Saturday 26 May with an intermediate ride and a more advanced group.


The club would also like to wish Jane Wilson & Leanne Owen best wishes after they recently had cycling accidents.
