Saturday 11th/Sunday 12th August

About 20 members rode in 2 groups to Allerthorpe on Saturday, covering between 77 and 87 miles, led by Steve Worthy and John Hanson with Alan Crooks and Martin Clift leading the intermediate group.
Sunday saw Stuart Burrows and Steve Scott ride to Birkin fisheries covering 35 miles. The Coronation Shield handicap event was held on the 8:1 mile tt circuit at Pollington on Monday evening, Steve Scott was quickest on handicap just beating Pete Stirk by 4 seconds, times were Scott 19:26  a pb,Stuart Burrows 19:54, Carl Easton 20:54 ( his first tt) Jo

nathon Hindle 21:15 and Stirk ( fastest this year) 22:55. Handicap times came off those times. Some members marshalled the Upton CC road race on Sunday.
