Information on our event
The distance of the 2018 route is just short of 110 miles. The event is open to all adult amateur cyclists & club riders from local clubs who relish in the challenge of riding over 100 miles as well as contributing to a worthwhile charity. The event will require that your body is fully prepared to go the distance.

There will be a 2 hour start window from 07:30 - 09:30 and riders will follow a set route that can be viewed here and downloaded for those with Garmin navigation devices. We have set the time to achieve 109 miles at 8 hours or under (Riding/Moving time). That's an average speed of 13.5mph.

Where does my entry fee go?
Your entry fee will go towards signage, rider numbers, website fees & food at the start & finish of the event as well as the feed stations along the route. The rest will go to Parkinson's UK. Elmsall Road Club will take nothing from the rider entry fees. All we take is enjoying the day with the riders. The more support and sponsorship we can generate from local businesses will mean a larger proportion of your entry fee going to Parkinson's research.
Why Parkinson's UK?
Our Club has two members that live with (& ride) with Parkinsons. One of our female members was diagnosed with Parkinson's 7 years ago at the age of 42. Our President was recently diagnosed with Parkinsons after being a keen cyclist for well over 50 years. Both are keen to raise funds for Parkinson's UK so we have adopted this charity. Both will be riding this event.
